A Star Is Born Movie Review: Star PerformanceĬooper, Cooper, Oh my talented Cooper! This guy who is known to many as one of the three guys from Hangover, had already attained a special feat when he did Silver Linings Playbook. They’re directed so well, it just makes you one of those spectators in the film who are attending that concert. The best thing about the songs is, almost all of them are performed on stage and for those couple of minutes, you’re not in your cinema halls. It’s a relief how Cooper, more than the story part of the film has concentrated on the musical aspect. Cooper making his directional debut, Gaga making her acting debut – this was the huge gamble that has been paid off beautifully. More than the story, what makes the movie special is its treatment & accurate amount of emotions. Also, Ally playing for the paid audience and not being who she has totally reminded me of Seb doing the same in Chazelle’s musical. I tried hard not to compare it with La La Land, given the genre, but the way Ally and Jackson spend the first date together it was ‘what a waste of lovely night’. Cooper continues the legacy and breaks my already broken heart. Wellman’s original story taught us for every of your dream to come true you need to pay a price in heartbreak.

A Star Is Born Movie Review: Bradley Cooper & Lady Gaga – You’ve Left Me Speechless! A Star Is Born Movie Review: Script Analysis This duet brings the duo closer and rest of the story is all about what all issues they face when the brighter star starts to fade. She’s there and now comes the second stage of the franchise where a star is born! Ally gets offered to perform on the stage in front of the crowd of thousands and she nails it.
AASHIQUI 2 A STAR IS BORN DRIVER
Offering Ally to attend his concert, he makes his driver stalk her until she doesn’t agree to come over. But there he sees Ally (Lady Gaga) effortlessly performing a French song and there it is, the first stage of ‘A Star Is Born’ franchise – discovering the star. After an electrifying opening concert, we see Jackson dropping by the nearest shady bar just to quench his thirst of liquor. This one’s about Jackson Maine, who’s so immersed in the alcohol that he forgets he’s an established countryside Rock singer-songwriter. If you’re even somewhat aware of the previous instalments (1932, 19) of A Star Is Born, you’ll know this is a story told multiple times with different emotions. Watch or Not?: Open YouTube, go through its songs and promos, if you still have second opinions about watching it then skip it! Loo Break: Hate musicals? Don’t watch it but please don’t take any kind of break if you’re in for watching What’s Bad: Why in the name of god I’ve seen Aashiqui 2 before this? Not like this is a copy, but there are some moments which should be enjoyed untouched! What’s Good: The concept of ‘A star will fall once a new star is born’, though seen multiple times in Hollywood as well as Bollywood, is still at its novel best in this film, Bradley Cooper delivers the best performance of his career, Lady Gaga acts as beautiful as her voice & unmissable songs written in and for a film since the likes of La La Land and The Greatest Showman Star Cast: Bradley Cooper, Lady Gaga, Sam Elliott, Andrew Dice Clay, Rafi Gavron, Dave Chappelle, Rebecca Field, Michael Harney, Shangela Laquifa Wadley, William Belli, Anthony Ramos.ĭirector: Bradley Cooper A Star Is Born Movie Review: Bradley Cooper & Lady Gaga – You’ve Left Me Speechless!
